BARC Meeting: The next BARC meeting will be on Monday, 5/14/12 at On The Run.
Predict Your Time / Pay Your Dues 5k and Kids k: How well do you know your pace? Find out at our annual Predict Your Time / Pay Your Dues run on June 16. No watches or electronic gizmos allowed, runners are ranked by how close they finished to their predicted time. Your entry fee of $15 individual and $25 family can be credited to BARC membership for the next 12 months (yes it is almost time to renew your club dues through June 2013). The run will take place at Sylvan Rodriguez Park on Clear Lake City Blvd near Highway 3 with Registration at 7:00 am, the Kids K at 7:30 am and 5K at 8 am.

BARC Scholarships: Each year BARC awards two $1000 scholarships to graduating high school seniors in the area who ran track and/or cross country and are matriculating to a 4-year college and university. An applicant simply has to send a 1 page resume and a statement, essay or short story that describes one of the following (a) how running has been a valuable part of their life, (b) how they have given back to the running community in some way, or (c) how they intend to make running a part of their future. If you know someone who may qualify, please urge them to apply and send their application materials to Julie Morris

If you pre-ordered one, come by On the Run with cash or a check made payable to BARC for $25. If you didn't pre-order, we ordered extras, so come into the store and see if Cheryl has your size!
